God's Love?!

I grew up in a home where discipline was something that was the order of the day. My dad was in the force so you know the kind of discipline I am talking about. Its a place where as a young boy you paid for every of your sins in quote..loool. And as you can guess,I wasn't a very good boy back in those days..*coveringface*. I got wacked almost every other day
But I can't forget a particular day when I did something very terrible & I expected that I was going to be put on the offering altar & set ablaze by my dad. But to my surprise,all I got was a warning which was something that was rare especially for me being so stubborn. I saw something in his eyes that day,I knew he loved me & wish I could just understand that his delight was not in spanking me all the time but for me to know that life was more than all the frivolity I was chasing. It drew me close to him those periods though not for long(I guess you know what happened..*coveringfaceagain*)
The thing is God is even more willing to forgive our shortcomings. Your sins were paid for over 2000years ago which is why God keeps beckoning on people to come close irrespective of what you done. The closer you get to Him,the more you learn of His ways. The devil doesn't want you to know this so he tells you God is mad at you,so stay away HE IS A CONSUMING FIRE. Don't be deceived by the devil,he can't tell the truth even if it is scriptures he is quoting(remember he quoted scriptures at the temptation of Jesus)
Get dressed,its a day to go worship our maker,learn more about His ways & be keep making adjustments till you perfectly like him. Remember He didn't die for perfect people but for imperfect people on their way to perfection. And perfection isn't an event,its a journey. As we behold as in a glass the glory of the Lord,we are changed into the same image from glory to glory
